Summary of the age
In this round, which lasted exactly 5 Aramoon years to the day, the members of the alliance ‘The Bug Busters’ demonstrated impressive economic and military strength.
The Bug Busters were also able to display their power impressively on the high seas: a total of 299 galleons were owned by all Alliance members, of which around 60 were war galleons.
Maintaining all these ships was a challenge for the clergy of the Alliance, who had to make sure they had enough gold.
The Bug Busters' alliance was also leading the way in the construction of the cathedral, but the competition was already making plans to attack the leading city due to their delay in building their cathedral.
A trip to Bendor was organised to forestall these plans. The objectives were clearly defined and communicated to the alliance in Bendor.
Despite numerous reminders that conflicts could also be resolved through negotiations, the Alliance leadership in Bendor showed no willingness to engage in dialogue and outdid themselves with wild insults towards Lungria.
Unfavourable military advice and a chessboard-like nesting of the provinces, albeit occupied by the elite, meant that the defence on Bendor quickly collapsed like a house of cards.
So the city on Bendor and the 4-man alliance were disbanded and on the same day of the collective cliff-jump, Aramoon saw the arrival of 4 ‘new’ settlers on Zidnar Tenur.
The rest of the time in this round was spent on the completion of the cathedral, tournaments and the stock exchange. The most efficient shareholder, Bug Hunter, made a profit of 37.7 million gold. Last but not least, a settler from Areith failed in his attempt to reach the top spot in the Economic Messenger by buying company points. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lord Temruk and Lord Rost for making this world shine again and again and offering the tireless settlers a place to meet, relax and enjoy themselves.
